Liam Constable
About me

All in, every time.

I’ve built my career helping organisations and leaders communicate clearly when the stakes are high, from New Zealand Police National Headquarters to a Queensland commission of inquiry.

At Police, I advised senior police leaders through to boots-on-the-ground sergeants on messaging, timing and reputational risk, prepared holding statements and spokesperson briefs, and supported national communications through Cyclone Gabrielle. At Blackland PR, I led proactive, earned-media campaigns, launches and events for clients across construction, health, agriculture, racing and the arts. Most recently, alongside a public relations agency, I managed media for the Queensland Commission of Inquiry into the CFMEU and misconduct in the construction industry, where I built my Queensland media network.

I’m an all-or-nothing person, and I like to get projects across the line. I bring energy, ideas and process improvements to every role. I seek out proactive opportunities and build relationships with the right people fast, to share stories, build people’s confidence and improve processes. I motivate the people around me and act as a support to get the work done.

I listen, respond, and turn complex ideas into stories worth reading.

Beyond work

A bit about me.

Born in New Zealand to a South African mum and a Kiwi dad, I know a thing or two about discipline, hard work, building relationships and communicating clearly and to the point.

I’m an avid fitness enthusiast, from marathons, triathlons and trail running to CrossFit. I also enjoy the odd escape to a resort or a remote beach to unwind and relax.

I put my all into everything I do, from work and relationships to fitness and cooking. I have a competitive nature and a creative flair, I’m an active listener, and I like to get things done efficiently and to a high standard.
